Vintage with a story
My journey with vintage and antiques started with me being in search of what else would give me pleasure to do and in what area can I be a contribution and what would be a contribution to me? Apart from a coaching business I have regarding consciousness and personal development I wanted something else also.
To my Etsy shopI love stories, having interaction with people and I connect to everything there is and like to perceive what is beyond what we see. In my quest for more I started asking for things to show up in my world that would like me to find them.
It was one Saturday afternoon I was passing by a Church Benefit shop and felt like the shop was pulling me. I had no intention going in that day but the pull was so strong I followed the urge. In there I saw three figurines that I adored and I bought one. While I was going to my car to put my purchase I felt a sense of restlessness and in my mind I asked the little boy figurene “Sorry I forgot to ask you, would you like to come with me?” and I got a “No!” And I asked him “Shall I return you?” answer was “I want my friend with me!!” in a tone of a toddler insisting and it was so cute but demanding. In the mean time I was thinking I am glad not one is hearing what I am hearing or they would think I am nuts. So I went back to the store and purchased the little girl figurine and I sensed the little boy one being joyful. Both were ok now to come home with me.
When home Their message later on was “Things would like to come to you and through you they would go to whomever are in search of them, you are a mediator! Those two are bringing joy to my home with their presence now.
With that antique and vintage jewelry started calling me as well as small antique objects. Most of those objects I can tap into and get some story that belongs to them. They speak some clearly, some subtly & some are quiet. Take those as fictions and figments of my imagination for I love story telling as well.
When you look at something I listed in my Etsy account, imagine having it or wearing it and ask “will this bring joy to my life?” if it feels light that is for you. Or if it is a gift “will this contribute to that person?” and if it feels light and good go for it.
Usually we use logic or just liking the way something looks to decide if we will purchase it or not. What if everything you add to your home, space, body could actually expand your life & gift you more than you imagine. Just wearing something you really like that day or looking at beautiful things in your home might change your mood & the way you are present in your daily life.
Tune in and enjoy!
